Before you go

  • Ask about allergens when you order: US food law names nine major allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame), and kitchens can tell you which dishes contain them.
  • Restaurant inspection results are kept by the city or county health department; many publish them online or post the latest grade at the door.
  • For table service a tip of 15โ€“20% is customary; at counter-service places tipping is optional.

My husband and I have been coming here for years and we love it. Their dim sum is always fresh and the customer service is always great no matter what time you go. You can see the amazing teamwork they do and it feels like everyone working is there to help and serve you. I always recommend this restaurant to family and friends. P.S. the pineapple buns are the best!

I think this place is underrated. I had some BBQ pork that was delicious, in the classic char siu style, with a good-sized portion. The potstickers might have been the best I've ever had, they just had this really nice Savory Char flavor on the outside, and plenty of filling that had not been broken down excessively like most places. My friend had Hunan beef, beef might have been a bit too soft. Overall the atmosphere is pretty nice, but when we went it was very empty. But there's fresh colorful paint and lots of wood. Comfortable, no loud music or freezing ac, and the man who waited on us was very friendly. If I had to guess, the low reviews are due to the prices. Everything on the menu had handwritten increases, and for example we were hoping to get Peking Duck, but 60 bucks for the two of us is pretty stiff.

I came here for lunch with my family and we had a good time! The interior of the restaurant is spacious and if you want some dim sum, this is the perfect spot. Service here is speedy and nice. We ordered a variety of dim sum dishes as well as their beef chow fun and their duck. I absolutely loved their beef chow fun (as it was super flavorful), their duck (which was so juicy), and their steamed rice roll with fried dough stick. Overall, everything was great and I think this is a really reliable spot for good dim sum!

I love that I donโ€™t have to drive all the way to Falls Church for authentic dim sum/Chinese! Everything Iโ€™ve had here has been amazing and Iโ€™ve been here 5 times now. My go-to dishes are the crab rangoons, preserved egg and fish congee (porridge), crab fried rice, salt and pepper pork chops, beef chow fun, Chinese bbq pork, shumai, shrimp rice crepes, pork with sour cabbage, egg custards, and sesame balls. The service is always very helpful and attentive. Iโ€™m not Chinese so they were patient when I asked questions and didnโ€™t know what to order the first couple of times I went. On the weekends they do dim sum carts so itโ€™s fun going and seeing the food roll by the tables. This is a great way to see some of the food they offer because I donโ€™t know what any of the dishes are called so itโ€™s easy to point at a dish on a cart you think looks good. This is a great place to bring a group. Every time I come with a new person they all love the food!

Complaints on service? Its name is Taste of Hong Kong. Service matches good restaurants in Hong Kong or Kowloon. Comparable to Shark Fin? No - but you wonโ€™t find $100 soup on the menu either or a small army of wait staff. Update 2/28/2026 - dropped by and tried their dim sum. Great dishes. Taste excellent both from cart and made to order. Deep fried eggplant. Sticky rice in lotus leaf. Beef rice crepe Steamed roast pork bun. Steamed shrimp dumplings. Pork dumpling fried crab rice. And Hot and Sour soup. Does remind me of Hong Kong in the early 90s. Late fall 2025. Best Iโ€™ve had in DMV. Could have been spicier. Ordered sizzling black pepper steak, king pao beef, and Singapore noodles. Great taste, texture, and appearance. No soup pictures. Ate that too fast. Picture is of half eaten dishes. We will be back to try their dim sum. Visited Saturday afternoon at 2:45.
